Over the past four years, Berlin-based DJ and producer duo Théatrophone have quietly undergone a transformation—both as artists and as individuals. Growing, their latest EP, is a reflection of that journey: a story of evolution, exploration, and the shifting dynamics of collaboration.
Opening with Back To You, the duo sets the tone with warm Afro house influences. It’s an invitation into their world, where groove and atmosphere meet intention. From there, the EP unfolds into a more expansive space. The tracks Growing, alongside Maye and Haunted by You, explore the duo’s affinity for melodic techno. Groovy but charged with emotional depth.
The pre-final hypertechno inspired track Cold builds the perfect transition to something they never did before: The final track You and I is a Punk Rock track and surprises the listener. It’s a reminder that growth isn’t linear, and that true artistic identity often lies beyond genre boundaries. But did you expect this from a DJ duo?

Berlin-based DJ and producer duo Théatrophone just dropped their highly anticipated debut EP, Feelings, on January 31st.
After releasing 13 singles over the past two years, they’ve honed a distinctive sound that blends deep-house foundations with acoustic influences from rock and pop.
This EP captures the full spectrum of their sound, from the funky groove of "Focus" to the darker, techno-driven vibe of "Matrix." The tracklist mirrors the emotional range music can evoke, with each song representing a different feeling.
The five tracks not only reflect different feelings, the tracks can be also seen as a journey throughout the year.
The journey begins with "Feelings," a track that starts dark and slowly brightens, much like the shift from winter to spring. "Focus" brings a laid-back, funky summer vibe, while "Matrix" offers a deeper, clubbier energy, reminiscent of fall. "Fix Me" embraces a melancholic winter mood, and "Nou Somsa" wraps up the EP and feels like the little bit of sunshine we have the whole year throughout all seasons that spreads hope.
